My Bosch dishwasher has been working flawlessly forever. I recently had a clogged dishwater drain from someone putting too much down the garbage disposal. I tried plunging and that backup up the water into my dishwasher. After snaking the drain clean the water drained from my dishwasher correctly but it seems stuck there. Also, no fresh water will go into the dishwasher now. Could someone please direct me, I'd really appreciate it.

Gene,
There is water in the base. Is all this accessible through underneath the unit?
Thank you,
Marty

Marty,
Hopefully there is no water leak and water in the base just because of plunging. Wipe out all water from the base and make sure it's dry. Run the dishwasher.
There suppose to be an air gap on top of the sink for the dishwasher drain line to prevent such problems.
Gene.

You might try stopping the cycle it is in (see manual) and re-starting the dishwasher. I had a similar problem (would not stop in the drain cycle). I read the manual, but the diagram for stopping a cycle and re-starting it was for a different model. I pressed the "Potscrubber cycle" and the "Regular" cycle for 3 seconds, and it made a whirring sound, then allowed me to re-start the machind. It's worth a try. Ken

To Gene and Foxfire,
I had a service person over and the trouble was a stuck water valve intake unit and he charged us $278.00 parts and labor. Does that sound right, I didn't think so but my wife didn't want me to fix it myself. Thank you for your help. Marty
