I need to replace the cord on my dryer so that the plug fits into the newer 4 holed outlets (used to be three pronged). Is there a guide somewhere that shows how to install this new cord? Thanks! MP

On the cord there should be four wires red, white, black and green. On the dryer there is a block where the cord attaches with three terminals. On the block the center terminal has a strap that attaches to the case of the dryer remove that strap. Attach the white wire to the center terminal. Attach the green wire to the case where the strap was connected. Then attach the black and the red wires to the two outside terminals. Clothes Dryer Repair Guide
