After the dryer cycle completes the heat element stays hot for hours even with the door open. When switched to either off position there is a buzzing noise. I suspect the timer assembly but don't want to buy a 100.00 dollar part and not be the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

A couple of questions.

1. Is the buzzing coming from the timer or the motor?

2. Does this happen in all dryer cycles?

3. What do you do to make the heater go off?

You could be looking at the timer, motor or wiring, or that the heating element is grounded in some way. Since it does not cost anything to do so, check the element and post back what you find plus some answers to the above.
