When the oven is turned on with the plate covering the ignitor in place, it ignites with a moderate thump sound. After ignition, the oven is slow to reach its desired temperature.

When the plate is removed, the ignitor appears to have an adequate glow, and the minor explosion does not occur as the burner is lighted.

Hi Craig,

How long takes to light up the burner first time with all parts in place?

Best regards.
Gene.

Hi Gene,

Thanks for the quick response.

From a cold start, it took 3 minutes and 55 seconds for the burner to light. If the oven is used more than once during the day, it takes less time for the burner to light, perhaps a couple of minutes.

Once lit, it took the oven 21 minutes to reach 350 degrees.

Thanks again for your help.

Craig

Hi Craig,

No doubt the problem is the oven igniter.

- The part number for the bake igniter is AP2150412

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire range Model FGF376CESP

Good luck.
Gene.

Thanks for the excellent help, Gene.

Your reply got here in less time than it took the burner to light. You are a godsend to do-it-yourselfers.

Best regards,

Craig
