What is involved in replacing a broken heating element? Can I just pull the old one out and put the new one in its place or will I have to pull the unit out to do this?

This is usally easy. Turn the breaker off to the d/w. Remove the lower kick plate and panel. Disconnect the wires to the heater, remove the nuts and washers, and re-install the new one.TURN THE BREAKER OFF!!:) wrench
