I have a GE side-side refrigerator. I have it for more than 6 years. I had a 5 yr warranty, but failed to call GE service to fix my problem which is present from past 4 years.

The problem with my refrigerator is the freezer never goes to 0 degress. It's hovers around 13/14 degress for the most part. The Refrigerator section seems fine. Since the freeze never goes to 0, I have problems with ice despensing.

Just today a GE technician came to my house (to repair a dishwasher), after telling the problem, he looked at the strip where the doors closes, it looked little hot and right away told the circuit board needs to be replaced (without looking into it further)

I want to understand what the problem is or if he diagnosed it right and what parts I can order to fix the problem and if I can really fix it myself.

any help along with part numbers will be appreciated.

thanks,
Sunil.
