Good day,

My frigde makes squealing noises occassionally, with the noise coming from the freezer compartment. A couple of months ago my freezer seemed to be freezing foods only on the bottom half of it, the refrigerator part appeared to warm, and the evapoprator fan didn't seem to work. Recently the fan appears to be working, freezing and refrigerator is perfect, but the fan makes this squealing noise! Oddly, when I turn off the refrigerator for a few hours, and then turn it back on, the fan makes no noise initially, but then starts to make squealing noise after a while.

Can you please help me?

Thanks

Looks like the evaporator fan motor has gone bad. If you need the correct part number for the motor then post the complete model number of the refrigerator.

Gene.
