the humming noise that comes behind the freezer sounds funny. Instead of being a steady hum, the noise tends to go up and down on occasion. Noise is steady (like its running or the compressor is cooling) for an hour or so and then the noise starts going up and down and up and down, then steady for a while. I do not want to loose my fridge with food in it. It has been doing this for 1yr or more. Thanks for your help

Pull the refrigerator out of the wall, remove the cover and pinpoint the noise. Post the results.
