I'm trying to determine why the Amana ALE866SAW does not auto dry. It continues to run...I don't know if it is the moisture sensor or control board for that...hoping to figure out and repair as my wife does 4 loads a day and my electric bill was $200.00...she uses the timer for 45 minutes a load....I'd love to get the auto dry feature working...looks like it may be moisture sensor or the control board for that...trying to get some guidance as to best troubleshooting efforts for research/repair....thanks! Happy New Year!

The first thing I would check is the vent hose and the venting inside walls for clog.

You can disconnect the vent hose from the dryer and run a couple loads to see a difference.

Good luck.
Gene.
