Both the freezer and the fridge are not cold enough. I believe the problem is either the fan that blows over the cooling coils or the Coil defroster. My question is, the back of the unit appears to be totally sealed. How to I get at the coils.
Also I found a document in the grill guard that says I can activate the defroster if I unplug the unit for at least 30 seconds, turn the thermostat off and them repower. Should I try this?

You do not have to remove the back of the unit. Instead you have to remove the rear panel inside freezer (#16 on the diagram). Quote:...the fan that blows over the cooling coils... is inside the freezer and you just have to open the freezer door to see if it works. If you find the evaporator (cooling) coils frozen up then you can force the defrost cycle as described in the tech sheet and watch it. Post the results. Thanks for the reply Gene.
I took the back of the freezer off and the coils did not have frost build up. I had previously measured the temp in the freezer at 17F, so I believe the coils are just not getting cold enough. If the coolant is weak, I guess there is nothing I can do. However, there is also a large amount of dust built up on the condenser. I always clean the front one but I cannot get to the ones in the back. How do you clean the condensers you cannot reach fromthe front?
If it is not the condensers, then I am out of luck.

Pull the refrigerator out of the wall and remove the cover on the back to access the condenser.
Wait about 24 hours after the condenser cleaned and if the evaporator coils are not 100% covered with snow then there is a problem with the sealed system and you have to call a pro to check it for you.
