My problem started by not getting any ice dispensed. The motor to drive the ice auger was not turning. I notice when the ice dispensor handle was pushed that the lights dimmed on the front control panel and the refridgerator shut down for a short period of time. Now I'm not even getting water dispensed, and even turning on the night lite for the water dispensor causes the lights to dim and temporarly shut down the refridgerator. Any ideas?

Some of the capacitor on the main control board are bad.
Checked for all bulgy capacitors and replace them and it will fixed the problem.
I fixed my GE refrigerator by replacing the 2 bulgy black 450uf 25V capacitors on the main control board in the back of my refrigerator.
You can buy the capacitors at radio shack or amazon.

I hope it will help.

you are my hero. i had the exact same problem and just soldered in two new capacitors. 470uf 35V from radio shack, and everything works again. they were both bulged on the end. i spent less than $3. the GE repair would have been a fortune. :D
