The gasket on the top right of my Kenmore Freezer is not sealing from the right hand corner to the left for about 4-6 inches. It does not appear to be compressed or worn out. Is there an adjustment to make the door close more tightly? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Carefully heat up the gasket at this place, using a hair dryer, and gently pull it out. Close the door and let it stay closed for a few hours. Put a dollar bill between the door gasket and the door frame. If it stays firm then there is nothing wrong.

Gene - i had this same problem and your solution did get the gasket to seal to the freezer. Now, when i put the gasket back over the screws and frame on the door, will it still seal to the door? Anything in need to do in advance to make this happen?

Gene - ok, here's the latest - as i mentioned, when i pulled out the gasket, it did seal to the door and i did the $1 test and it sealed with no problem - HOWEVER - i now have 2 new problems - when i put the gasket back over the screws and frame on the door, 1) it will not seal completely in the upper left corner completely to the freezer (as before), and 2) it is not sealing on the other side to the door now that i have the gasket screwed and put back in place on the panel on the door.
Any help is appreciated.

Steve,
Usually refrigerator door consists of two parts: outer door and inner door. They are connected each to other with a screws around which are holding door gasket as well. If you loose these screws and then tight them back, they can create unneeded tension causing the door to twist and the door gasket not to seal properly. You may have to pull the door off, lay it down on a flat surface, loosen the screws and re-align.
