I have a 1.8 compact fridge by Honeywell that's not working. The fans vibrate but does not turn and the inside LED flickers. The fridge makes a ticking noise but will not work. Is there a test I can do with my meter to narrow it down?

all fans not working, only osillating. Inside light osillates until temp select button turned off, then light is steady. Its 12Vac stepped down to 12VDC

Seems like the fan and lite will not work when the compressor is hooked up, is this true?

I did some probing with my meter. Some of the plugins on the DC side is only getting 6+- volts, where on the board it says 12V. Looks like I'm not getting the proper voltage on the DC side. all the wires that go back into the fridge are off this DC board. If I can't fix it I will try and make run off batteries.

There is a 1000uF 16v capacitor on the main board (near the aluminum heatsink). As the story I've heard goes Honeywell got a bad batch of caps. All these fridges do the same thing eventually. Picked up a new cap today. Soldered it in and tada she works great.:)
