I bought a replacement sensor kit and installed it and ran the checks and the motor on the ice maked doesn't turn, nor does the water flow. Checked black and white wires going to the icemaker ( removed icemaker ) at the plug and I am only getting 35 vac, not the 120 I expected, which is the reason I am not getting water flow or motor movement. So did I get a defective part WPL 4389102 or the wrong part or is it something else?

Did you close the flopper door on the left and turn "on" the switch on the right before measuring the voltage at the plug?

With the flopper door closed the LED should stay "on". If it's blinking then the optics fail.

I have asimiliar problem with a whirlpool gold side by side that will not produce ice. Tray fills but ice does not come out. Tested the heater and it looks good. I checked the sensor as you mentioned in this post and it blinks when the door is open and goes out completely if you push both switches in. IS that a correct indication?

The light switch should not be pushed. Possible the problem is a bad ice maker thermostat.
