My Maytag washer goes through it's normal wash cycle, but when it is supposed to stop it just keeps going through it's extra spin cycle. When we try to turn it off, the door stays locked unless we unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in. I tried replacing the timer, but still had the same problem. Can anyone help???? Thanks

Hi Alan Unfortunately, I think you problem is in your control board, I say unfortunately because it is an expensive part. Here is the replacement board. Part number: AP4026827
Also, if you have not had or you have not yourself replaced the wax motors in your machine you should (must!!) do so at the same time. Here is the service manual on your machine (yes it says MAH 3000 but yours is an updated version of that machine. http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16010061.pdfYou will have to decide if you want to try the fix or get a new machine (or even live with it the way it is,if you do replace the wax motors) Good luck.

I was afraid it may be the board. We had a Maytag referred repair man, who said it was the timer, which I changed. So much for the Neptune Priority One treatment.
Thanks for your help.
