Dryer has power and will turn on and heat if start switch is turned and held to the on position. Once the switch is released the unit turns off. Drum dosent turn, is this related or a seperate belt and switch problem???

To open this cabinet, does the top swing up or do I have to remove the screws??

Thanks for the help

Hi Frhandyman

The usual, but not necessarily always, diagnosis here is the motor. You can access it by removing the screws inside the door which hold the top on. Take off the top and then the front (two screws at the top on each side) and release the belt and take out the drum. This will give you access to the motor if you want to change it on speculation.

Good luck
