started a while back - woke to find water pouring out of the dispenser onto the floor (for a long time). Shut the feed line off. Dried it (augh) and walked away.

Decided to have it diagnosed. Repair came in, said turn on the line. I did and it didnt spew water all over as I had anticipated. We ran it a while, ice was filling etc. all seemed ok.

Few days later I find puddles of water on the floor that seeped form UNDER the fridge. I shut the line off. Dried it, and walked away. (shaking my head)

Few days later the same thing happens. Where is it coming from and why? All is frozen in the freezer, so i would doubt its the result of melting.
thanks

Leaky dispenser-------Is it still leaking?
Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably not shutting off completely.

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan. Could be full tray or leaky tray. When a water filter is clogged it may bypass to the pan overflowing it.

Is it leaking out from under the door?
Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

woodchuckie - thanks. I found the drain (some water coming out) and cleaned it. it had some "stuff" in it. Also the drain in the freezer looks like an ice jam. I have it off and am about to attempt to remove the ice.
with luck, that will resolve the prob. I'll let you know. thanks

woodchuckie - is it normal to have ice built up in the trough like area that the inner drain hole is located? Does it come from the ice maker at the top?
thanks

it seems the drain is all set.
I turned the water back on and it did not appear to leak. Then I went back downstairs to where shutoff is. I had water leaking again. Its off.
I opened the back again and found water drips on the line that come out of the water valve. As I look at the photos on the site. its part# 799. The hose is the one on the left as we look at it.
Would like to know if you have any recommendation? Can I pull it out (sounds like quick connect - is that disconnect too?) and reseat it?

thanks
