The electronic clock and oven control on my amytag electric range is not working properly. For example when I try to set the oven temp to 350 it jumps from 350 to 355 to 345 unitl it finally locks in usually lower or higher than where I set it. The same happens with all the settings e.g. timer, broiler, clock etc. Do I need a new control ? Any idea of the cost and would it be too hard to replace myself? Thanks!

Hi Pearson

You have posted on the Dryer Forum. That being said, if the rest of your range is working ok it does sound like you need a new control, which unfortunately is expensive. All of the manufacturers seem to have very high prices on these things. It is, however, an easy part to replace. To see your parts just click on your model number.

Here is the oven - clock control unit.

Part number: AP4103851
Part number: AP4103851

If you want some more advice before spending that kind of money post on the oven Forum.

Good luck.
