My dishwasher stops about mid cycle. If I manually advance the timer, it will finish the cycle. However, the drying cycle seems to finish faster than normal and it doesn't get the dishes dry.

I would check the thermostat (#29 on the diagram) and the heating element for continuity.

- The thermostat Part number: AP2109201
Part number: AP2109201

- The heating element Part number: AP4424048

I checked the element and got 13ohms. Isn't that fairly normal?

The thermostat reads just over 1k ohm. Does this mean it's good or bad?

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

Looks like the thermostat is the culprit. Normally it should be close to 0 Ohms.

I spoke too soon. I can't find the thermostat on the diagram. The one I did find in the parts list, had a different part number than the one you gave me. I ohmed out a switch in the control panel. Where is the thermostat?

I found the thermostat. It is open. I'll order a new one.
