hI FAMILY, NEW TO THE SITE AND LOVE IT. I am a hvac service tech and looking at a buddies frig. The relay is bad, we got about 6" of rain in a 2 hour period and basements flooded. the relay on this site says to call the site number, just want to know why. The frig has 4 wires 2 for the overload, which connects to the relay[common], and 2 for the relay. Relay I have has the overload, one in one out to relay and one on the relay, not two, like the old one. What am I missing. i know Im making it more complicated then it is. Thanks again HANDS

It says that because the relay it calls for is discontinued. You can use a three in one start kit. The part number for the one I use a lot is RCO410. I also use a switch made by mars part number 32330.These are solid-state relays if yours has a current relay you will have to order it by the horsepower ratings. I believe solid-state relays will work even if your compressor has a current relay but I am not %100 sure on that. Refrigerator repair guide
