when turned on control works timer goes down as if it was on .but does not spin or has no heat makes clicking noise on mane control board..no huming noise from motor it does spin freely:confused:

Sir-
I am not one of the experts on this forum, but I just finished a repair on a similar machine to yours. Whirlpool has this odd feature (IMHO) called a "broken belt switch" that is in series with the run circuit. It will not allow operation with a broken belt (except likely the timer) Mine is coin up so might be a little different. You can remove the kick panel and reach over the inlet plenum, feel around and probably find the broken belt. Oh and unplug first of course! If the belt is good, probably the switch is bad.

thanks went down found switch, clicked few times didnt change , i guess i will need to go buy a tester ord ohms...have tech sheet on dryer but to me it seems like no power or anything( not tested just opinon) goes past the control board...thanks again will keep trying

:) another happy do it yourselfer.....problem was the Thermal Fuse was bad... cost 11.00 dollars ...wife is happy again..thanks for all and hope this helps anyone else..:)
