Hello,
I have a Whirlpool dryer about 4 years old. Last week it stopped heating up to dry the clothes and the timer does not seem to work either. It is a gas dryer, model # LGR5620KQ1. Thanks in advnce for any help

Well, I started pulling the dryer apart and checking things. I found the thermal fuse is bad, it has no continuity. Is this my problem, will it cause no heat and the timer not to work?

That is the problem, but make sure it is the only problem. As long as you have it open check the other thermostats and clean out the venting system thoroughly. This will keep your new fuse from blowing.
Good luck.

Thank you Sidfink43, I checked both T-stats in the back and they both seemed to check out fine. I ordered the new fuse tonight from this site.
Once again, thank you for responding.

I haven't fixed my own equipment myself, but you may want to check out ARS for other heating systems repair problems you might be having. They have always been able to fix my appliances at a pretty low cost.
