I have a Calupso washing machine that will not spin. It gets to the last 6 minutes of the cycle, and begins spinning. It makes an unpleasant noise then stops. This is after I have gotten the error code lp and the machine has been opened and the rinse spin cycle has been selected to finish the wash. Up to this point I have had no problems. Any thoughts?

Hi Kathy

Well, you asked for thoughts, here are some.

These are really great machines, but are very difficult to work on. Also, the LP error code does not seem to be in the troubleshooting guide. Noises are also difficult to diagnose because the way we do that is to first listen and try to ascertain the area that is causing the noise, and we cannot do that in your case.

I am going to link you to the service manual for this machine, and suggest you try the troubleshooting and diagnostgic routine to see if you can come up with something. I am also going to suggest that you remove the pump and clear out any debris and check it to see if that is the source of your noise and problem.
