While washing the machine makes a groaning noise which sounds to me like the pump is wearing out on this 9 year old washer. Is this something I can replace? I'm pretty handy. Do I buy a whole new pump, or just a kit with new gaskets, etc. Thanks in advance for the help! Ross

Its best to get a whole new pump. Yes you can do it. But take your time.

Uh , isn't this a dishwasher? If so, you will need to pull it out and turn upside down.

Thanks for the info. I looked up "pump" for my model and only found "pump housing" "drain pump" and "circulation pump motor" in APP's parts lists. I assume this is a circulation pump, right? Does APP carry it or do you know where to get one? Ross

it is the impeller kit for the circulation pump and it can be done rather easily by pulling out the d/w and tilting the tank to the left and removing the circ pump and motor ? let me know if you need any part #'s and / or instructions ?
