Ordered AP4009555 a secondary water valve and the design does not match the part in place. The new part has a quick disconnect on the tubing and the original part is threaded. We verified with customer service that the correct part was ordered. She suggested you might be able to help us make this part work or order the correct part.

Cut the threaded end off and just insert the cut end in the new valve. You may need to hold the ring in on the new valve and release when the line is pushed in.

Got it in. There is no "o-ring" in the outlet on the water dispenser side of the valve. Can't stop the leak when try the water dispenser. The tubing is stiff with a coil inside so it won't give. Now what?

Your tubing might be hard and the valve will not seal properly. Tubing must be soft enough to allow a compression fitting to compress properly.

All three of the tubing pieces are the same with a metal coil inside. The other two slipped right in - the sides with the "o-ring" in the valve. Did the manufacturer of the valve leave out this "o-ring"? We don't see that we can replace this piece of tubing without taking off the back of the refrigerator.

Is this the one you received. It shows a compression ring on each of the three outlets. Part number: AP4009555
