This upright freezer works fine in cool/cold months but in hot months frost build up and stops cooling. Live in Okla. The freezer just gets frost build up every year in the summer. I bought it second hand and have had it for 3 yrs doing the same thing. I would like to get it fixed and not need to buy a new one. So hope some one can help me out here.

Gene. Yes that is right. I have replaced the heater core because it had gotten cracked. It freezes great when it is cold. I have to watch around July because it well frost up in the back all over the back plate and starts cooling down. You can turn the control up to a higher number but that does not help. I just have to remove all the meat into another freezer and use it later when it does turn cooler temp outside. That is where I have it setting on my back porch. I take off the back plate and the coils are all frozen up. I don`t want to get rid of it cause it is big and I need to space. But I am tired of moving meat. I want a fix. Need help.
