I think the washer is 2 or 3 years old. I got it from a friend... It is a Front Load washer. The door lock is not working. It either does not lock or will not unlock without us unplugging and letting it sit for awhile.... Also it will agitate and drain but now it is not "spinning" right during the spin cycle. I was told it could be acting up because of the lock but that sounds weird to me... It seems to be doing something diffrent each time it acts up.... Sometimes it will work for 5 minutes and then just stop and stay where it is. the time will be on it (just like it has been paused) But will do nothing else... Sometimes It works JUST FINE!! Is it just possesed?!?!?!

Hi Skindig This is a front loading GE so the chances are very strong it is possessed. On the off chance that it is not, you need to try to run the trouble shooting diagnosis. Here is the service manual (from another Forum site, hope they do not mind because getting GE documentation is just extremeley difficult, they don't want you to have it)which explains how to do it. http://appliancejunk.com/ge/washer/31-9135.pdfThere is a good chance it is the door lock mechanism given the irregularity of your symptons. Good luck, let us know what you find out.
