Dear Repair Specialist, I ordered part Nb AP4318572 for my GE model GSS22JFPAWW. I was hoping for a repair kit with instructions on how to install the new part. Our refrigerator water dispenser is always freezing up and this is an add-on part to correct the problem. There are instructions on how to attach the device but no information on how to access the area behind the control panel. How do I get into the freezer door electrical? Do I remove the cover shield where the “Water, Ice, Light” controls are or do I enter from the inside of the door? I actually had an old timer refrigerator repairman here today on another issue and asked him. He said that they had come across this situation before and couldn’t figure it out. He joked, “Just order a whole new door”. Thanks for your help. Chuck Smith

Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.
