We have a large side by side Maytag refrigerator/freezer. The gaskets along the doors have become very hot over the last month or two and now the outside top of the unit is very hot too. Both the refrigerator and freezer units are nice and cold as always. Is there some kind of circulator problem. There are a few inches air space all around the unit and the controls are set in the middle of the range. We have never had it worked on. If it is a sealed unit can my husband access the problem?
Thanks for your help.

Make sure the fan underneath near the compressor is running.

It's not a sealed system problem, but that's not a do it yourself job.
