Ice maker is not filling completly. I replaced the original "round" icecube maker about 10 years ago with current mechanical icemaker. I did not replace the valve. I cleaned the screen on the inlet valve (it was dirty). For each fill cycle, it now enters 500 ML of water in two spirts. The first fill is 400 ML followed by a shorter second spirt of 100 ML after a 15 second delay). Is this normal?

The replacement valve (part number AP2071687) by GE says
"Dual fill valve (round ice cube)" Since I do not have a "round ice cube maker, do I need to replace the valve. If so, which one?

I may also need to replace the icemaker with Part number AP4345120 or GE wr 30x10061( there are some bad write ups about this icemaker).

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jerry

You just might have weak water pressure to the water solenoid. Check the saddle valve on your water pipe. You can just turn the house water off, take the valve apart and clean it.
