My dryer drys ok when I use the timed dry but it seems to run too long when I use the regular dry cycles. I have an Amana model DLE330RAW. My dust work is clean and made of rigid pipe. Do you think it is my cycling thermostat?

That is a strong possibility and something that costs fairly little to replace, so I would do that. Please start a new thread for your problem. You should describe your problem in a little more detail, including what the machine does and whether or not it is the same in each cycle.
We will also need a complete model number.

the dryer will run for a while and then blow a braker fuse. and now it will start and run but now we have no heat but will tumble and blow cold air

Ok here's what I would suggest. You are going to need an electrical meter (or better yet, a friend with a meter who knows how to use it)
1. You need to check that 240 volts is getting to the connection block, ie 120 voltes on each terminal.
2. If you have current you then need to check the thermal fuse and thermostats for continuity.
3. If they check out, you need to check your heating element. Since your fuse went, it may be that the element is broken and grounded.
Let us know what you find out, and if the fuses keep going you need to determine why that is happening.
