Hi, I have a 3 year old Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 gas oven Model SF368LEPQ1. Today I preheated it, put bread in when it beeped, and then an hour later, opened the oven and there was low/minimal heat coming out. Still enough heat to establish that it had actually turned on, but I could touch the loaf pans. The controls showed that it was baking at 350. I turned it off then on again, and this time nothing happened at all. No clicks from the gas or anything.
I then tried the broiler (the first time ever...:o ) and it clicked and turned on. At that point, I tried the oven AGAIN, and THIS time it turned on and got to 350. When it fires up during the baking, however, it makes an AWFUL noise instead of just the usual clicking noise. It sounds almost like a grinding noise. I have read a ton of posts in on the site and I can't figure out how I should approach this problem. Does anyone have any ideas? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!
