We have a side by side Kenmore with ice water and crushed ice in the door.

for some reason the water dispensor has stopped dispensing. water is still coming into the Ice maker and making ice. There seem to be no leaks when I push the lever down to get water. and a mild buzz can be heard when I depress the lever.

any help would be appreciated.

Order part#4388891,Water Tube Insulation Kit Division 46 SourceC646 following normal ordering procedures..

I have traced the problem to an area inside the freezer door. the solanoide that allows the water through the pipe at the back of the refrigerator is working correctly, at the bottome of the freezer door there is a disconnect for the water line. I loosened it and the water flows freely to that point when the lever is depressed.
I took a stiff wire and threaded it up the remaining line and got about three quarters of the way before it hit something. I tried sticking the wire down the spout from the top and met resistance withing 1 foot.

It there a way of removing the water dispensor assembly so I can see what's behind it? It there another device designed to stop the water inside that area?

Something stops the flow in the door directly at the area of the dispensor assembly
