After a few sparks and a not-so-normal red glow in the oven tonight - I ordered a new bake element. Now the BIG question is - is this something we can replace ourselves or do we have to call a technician to do it when the part gets here?

unplug stove ,remove back cover ,remove screws from bake element terminals. go to front ,remove screws at back of element ,remove element ,install new one

Thank you - I hoped it would be simple! Now I just have to wait for the Fed Ex guy to arrive Monday.
