The freezer and refridgerator are both around 49 degs. The fan is blowing in the freezer. My son told me he took off the cover for the mother bd and found that it had a burn spot on the back. He doesn't know what componet is on the front of the board. He told me that when he got home the ice cube tray was all water and that the circuit breaker had turned off. He reset it and got the above results. I'm not sure what caused the board to go bad and he doesn't know if the replacement will burn out too.
Do you have any suggestions? I thought that he had a freon leak because of the fact that he does get a lower temp than room temp.

Make sure the evaporator fan (inside the freezer) and the condenser fan (on the back of the refrigerator) are working properly and the condenser coil is clean. Check the defrost heater (#618 on the diagram) for continuity.

Post the results.

Could you please open a new own thread and post as many descriptions on the problem as possible including the complete model number of the refrigerator?
