My Frigidaire dishwasher filled with water, but when the wash cycle started, it sounded funny. I removed the pump assy and the motor ran when I hotwired it. The impellers looked fine. The motor had evidence of water coming out the bottom and the metal clip holding the motor in was rusty. Not wet but crusty like it had a slow occasional leak.

I watched the water in the tube going to the top of the unit while the pump was running and it was climbing very slowly. Needless to say the wash arms don't turn because there's no pressure. I just ordered a new motor/pump assy from your website, but I wish I was more convinced the old one is bad. It's only 3-1/2 years old.

Drain the dishwasher and remove the 1/2 round pump cover. Sponge up the water around the pump impeller. Turn the water off to the dishwasher and run the dishwasher. Open the door and see which direction the impeller is turning, probably turning the wrong way. This will confirm a bad and polled motor. I think the new ones are free from this problem.
