it has developed a low whine while agitating and spinning, I checked the belts, which I replaced last year but the sound seems coming from below the tub.

Hi Jennifer

Noises are about the hardest problem to diagnose in a forum for the obvious reason that we are not there to hear it.

In your case it may be something in the transmission, and given the age of your machine, as long as it works I would leave it alone. When it fails or when you can no longer stand it then it will be time to get a new machine.

Good luck, hope it lasts a long time
