The model is GSH25JSTASS There are 3 sensors in this refrigerator. They all are identical and have the same resistance readings. Normally it supposes to be: 42.5 KOhms @0°F, 14.0 KOhms @37.0°F and 4.92 KOhms @77°F. If the readings are good and you did not find anything wrong with the damper door, very possible the control board would need to be replaced. The control board Part number: AP6048447

I place them in ice water and checked the resistance. If I remember correctly I was reading like 27K ohms and it was still rising. My refrigerator didn't come with a temperature- resistance chart. But they were consistent with each other, so I figured they were good.

Did you figure out your problem? I have not, I suspect it may be the main board but not sure I want to spend the money when I don't know if that is actually the cause. My refrigerator side stays the correct temperature. Did you check the damper door between the freezer and fresh food side?

Got a similar problem with my GE. The evaporator fan doesn't shut off and keeps running. The fresh food section gets really cold freezing the food. But I don't see any ice build-up.
Did you figure out your problem?

A while ago unnoticed my freezer was getting very cold, way past it's set point. Set to 0 Degrees and would go down to -15 degrees or so at times.
Eventually I noticed a small water leak under the refrigerator. This was due to a large brick of ice forming under the evaporator coils clogging the drain tube. Eventually water would melt in the defrost cycle and leak down to the floor of the unit and then out of the unit.
I replaced the defrost thermostat, and the defrost heater is definitely getting hot. I tested both freezer and fridge thermistors.
I'm at a loss, looking for some suggestions on parts to test before I keep throwing money at random parts.
