Go to the main board check for continuity through the bake element back to the board. If that tests OK, check for 240 volts AC across the element when it should be heating.

everything else works except the bake element. If the main board was damaged it would seem like other things wouldn't work. Is that not the case?

You probably damaged the main board. I checked a couple of places and they are no longer available.

while replacing the broiler element the wires touched together and sparked. I had to replace the end of one of the wires. The broiler works but the bake element doesn't. I then replaced the bake element it still doesn't work. All the wires look to be good and in tact. What else could the problem be. Thank you for any help
