Drive motor must pause for a few seconds after the 2 minute drain period to shift gearcase out of neutral. Is it doing that? If not, open lid for a few seconds to pause motor and close again. Does it start spinning? Remove front panel and observe clutch hub on top of gearcase during spin. Is the clutch hub spinning?

Thanks much for the reply. Bizarre as it seems, the washer now drains but will not spin or spray rinse. I did not do any maintenance or make any adjustments.

Any advice?

Thanks again.

That model is over 20 years old. Does motor run when in drain mode? Does it spin?

Unit is combined stack unit, apartment-size, possibly less than 10 years old judging by appearance and conditon, but age unknown. Washer fills with water and will agitate but will not drain at end of wash cycle.

Faint clicking can be heard from switch. If switch is manually advanced to dot position in rinse cycle, agitation will resume, but washer will still not drain at end of rinse cycle.

Should I replace pump, or is problem likely in switch or other control?

Thanks for the help.
