I would blow in the end of that plastic tube to clear the water out. I also use a turkey baster and pump some vinegar down it to dissolve any soap residue.

If there is water in the tube(sorry didn't hit the E before) that will effect the water level.

water not in tub but small amount settles in the plastic air cup from which a plastic tube goes to pressure switch. i'll check hose for holes. would water in plastic air cup affect level in tub.

If there is water in the tub you need to get that out. check for cracks or pin holes in the tube.
