Thanks to Sidfink43 for directing me to the water level switch. The clear tubing/hose that connects to the water level switch had fallen off. (most likely happened when moving from house to house)

Celan out the tube going from the water level switch to the tub. Watch it operate with the cabinet off. Water should not enter the tube. You can also pull the tube off at the tub level, stick your finger on the tub part to keep water from coming out and blow into the tube. If it does not stop water entering the water level switch is bad.

If all this does not help, try changing out the water level switch.

Machine's sensor fails to stop at water FILL and water RINSE cycles.
Have to manually move dial. All other cycles work normal.
