It is the bearing, it can be replaced with special tools and special parts or the tub assembly can be replaced which is very expensive.

When this happens I always say to replace the machine. Many, but not all who do not take this advice regret it.

If you have gotten a good long term out of this very troubled model count yourself very lucky and celebrate with a new washer.

washer makes a excessive high screaching sound when in spin cycle. I need to know if it is the motor, or the bearing and if it can be replaced.
