You are missing 8 digits of the model number.

Is the compressor running?
You can usually hear it but should also feel it vibrating.

If running does it run all the time except when the unt goes through a defrost cycle?

Are the condenser/compressor fan and the evaporator/freezer fan running?
Are the condenser coils clean?
Are the vent at the front and back of the unit clean?

If the compressor is running remove the cover in the freezer and check the evaporator coils. Be sure the compressor has run for about an hour before doing this. If you do it during or shortly after a defrost cycle you may end up with the wrong diagnosis.

If heavily iced/frosted over you may have a defrost problem.

If there is just frost in one are or no frost then it is a sealed system problem. This will be an expensive repair. Check your warranty often the sealed system has a longer warranty.

If the compressor is cycling OK then it could be a temperature regulation problem. May just need a new thermostat.

Three year old fridge. Freezer not very cold. Compressor is running but not keeping stuff frozen. Refrigerator is cold. Ice is ok but most other stuff is soft. Repairman came, took off back panel in freezer said u need a new compressor!!!! He didn't check anything else. Put the cover back and charged $90. I think we need another opinion but $90 a shot is crazy. Can this really be the problem in a fridge that 's only 3 years old? Thanks.
