Can you see some ice on the bottom of the freezer?

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?

Gene.

Lynne,

Check the freezer door bottom cams. One is attached to the door hinge while the second one is attached to the door. Even if just one is bad, they both have to be replaced.

- The door cam riser (attached to the door) Part number: AP3046922
Part number: AP3046922

- The bottom door hinge assembly Part number: AP3133075

First noticed water in front of the freezer door, but neither i nor my son could determine where it originated. Then i discovered that the freezer had defrosted, still running, but ice crystals on freezer food trays, water droplets on inside roof and sides of freezer. Apparently the door had opened and i was unaware of that happening. Now i have learned that freezer door opens whenever i open or close the refrigerator door, and sometimes on its own.

Thank you for any help and suggestions you can provide.

Lynne
