Thanks denman. That's what I suspected but appreciate the guidance. I'll switch out the control board and hope that does the trick.

I would replace the control board as it is the more likely of the two.

Hello, I have a Whirlpool Gold Accubake oven/microwave combo. When using the oven, the unit suddenly locks the oven door and boosts the temperature as if it has gone into self cleaning mode. The only way to manage this is to turn the breaker off and leave it off for about 30 minutes before restoring power. The microwave works perfectly.

Model is GMC305PDQ5.

I am unsure if I need to replace the control board (part #4456048) or the touchpad & control panel assembly (part #8300408). If anyone can advise it would be much appreciated.
