This just started but it's getting louder, when I start filling my washer there is a loud noise but only with the cold water, hot water is not making any noise at all. I removed the hose and put my garden hose on the water valve to make sure that it wasn't the house pipes, then I attached the washer hose to the garden hose assuring that it was not clogged. Just to make sure I attached my garden hose to the washer, sure enought the same noise, I've got an idea that its the washers valve solenoid but your the expert.
Thanks for your help

Well this is kind of a mystery since the opening and closing of the solenoid is not a noise creating event.
I would first take off the cabinet and see if you can here where in the machine the noise is created. Then check the hose coming from the valve and finally the valve itself.
