Model Number: MAH4000AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
I have been trying to repair a Maytag Front load washer. Model Number MAH4000AWW. I have water pouring out of the door. I have checked the water valve....checked fine. I have checked the pressure switch...checked fine. I am lost at what to do next.

You probably have figured out your problem by now, however, just in case you are still dealing with this problem, here is how I solved mine: the hose filter screen, located in the cold water hose on the end attached to the washer, probably needs to be cleaned out! That's what I did with mine and it works with no leaking now.
Just so I wouldn't have to pull the washer all the way out from the wall in the future, I put a hose filter in the cold water hose on the end attached to the faucet. Keep those filters clean and the leaking will end! Bob N |
