the washer tries to go into the agitate during the spin cycle. as a result it never gets up to full speed and the clothes comeout soggy. do you think this is a timer problem or a transmission problem.

More likely the problem is a bad tranny. The model number you posted is incorrect. Verify and repost it please.

it looks like you have to take off the thing with the 200 pound of spring tension warning on it to fix this. is this correct.
