the agitator seems to be stripped. The cap will tighten but during cycle will loosen and the agitator will not move. new agitator was bought but it didn't have the threading in it for the cap to screw/tighten into. No pictures show the internal screw(cap) or threading-female(agitator) parts.:confused:

Hi JD
It looks to me like you actually bought a Frigidaire masquerading as a GE product.
There is a drive block at the top of your transmission shaft that should take the cap for the agitator. See if that drive block is your problem.
